Nine months later....

We have moved into our new and improved Two Sisters Cottage, just a little over nine months after closing on the deal. It's been a trip, for sure, a huge learning experience and a dream fulfilled. Yes, parts of it were nightmarish, but I'm so glad we did it.

I'm still unpacking and will be for quite some time. I have been taking photos, and will share them as soon as possible.

Thanks for all your kind comments and support; I really appreciate it!

Happy trails,

bobbi c.

  2. Thanks, Miss Becky! I told my sister I was as happy as a pig in slop to finally move in. LOL. We still have a lot of work to do to this place (some residents are already complaining about the too tall grass!), get the other place ready to sell, AND move Rudy's workshop and some plants I left behind. Whew! But it's worth it.

    1. Thanks, Jinni! Yes, we've been busy. But, we finally got the Leander house listed with a Realtor, and they're doing early marketing stuff now. That's a huge weight off my shoulders. Now, hope it sells fast! :-)

  4. Hi Jinni! Thank you so much! It's been a trip, I tell ya. We still have so much to do, and I bounce back and forth inside and out, doing a little here, a little garden, back and forth. Rudy's been spending a lot of time at the old house packing up garage/workshop stuff. We still have to put that house on the market, too. Whew. I miss all the group, too, but need to focus on this right now. Give everyone a "hug" for me!

  5. Thanks for stopping by my bungalow blog today! It's always fun to see who you meet in this big world of ours. I'll try to put up some more bungalows each month. There are so many hundreds here, but I try to pick really special ones that the owners have taken care of or restored with love.
You look like you are doing a terrific makeover on yours there in Taylor.
My wife & I went through there a number of years ago and I have to say the farms had the blackest, richest soil I have ever seen.

    1. Hi David! Will definitely stop by your blog again. Yes, this is "blackland prairie" soil. It's very fertile, but does heave when it gets dry, then wet. We already have new cracks in the dining room walls I patched two months ago! Oh well, life in an old house ain't for the weak. LOL.

I am so proud of you and Husband R for all of the hard work and unwavering dedication to make the "diamond in the rough" a place to settle down and live out your dreams. I am glad me and Husband J had the opportunity to spend a week watching and helping as the Two Sisters Cottage was transformed. I hope the house is filled with happiness, love and laughter for you, R, and all of your little furry babies and becomes more of a home than a house!
    I love ya!

  7. Oh, stop it, Little Sister--you're gonna make me tune up and bawl my eyes out! LOL. Gosh, what can I say? I just went loony tunes and had to get it out of my system before I got too old. WAIT A MINUTE! I'm already too old for this! LOL!!

And thanks again for coming down to help us with the framing. Couldn't have done it without ya! (Now if you have any other spare time.....LOL!)

    Love you, too!
